Materials:
G hook
6 oz. 4ply WW Yarn
2 buttons

Sweater:
CH 34   sc in 2nd ch from hook & each ch across. turn.
Row 1: ch 3,  1 dc in next 4 sts, (ch 3 is first dc).
          3 dc in next st (corner 1),
          1 dc in next 5 sts,
          3 dc in next st (corner 2),
          1 dc in next 10 sts,
          3 dc in next st (corner 3),
          1 dc in next 5 sts,
          3 dc in next st (corner 4),
          1 dc in last 5 sts.
         
Row 2: ch 1, turn.  sc in ea st across, putting 3 sc in center st of 
each corner - around.
Row 3: ch 3, turn.  1 dc in ea st , putting 3 dc in center st of 
each corner - around.
Row 4:  repeat row 2.
Row 5:  repeat row 3.
Row 6:  repeat row 2.
Row 7:  repeat row 3.
Row 8:  ch 1, sc in ea st to 1st corner, ch 10, (for armholes) sc 
in center st of 2nd corner,(skipping sts in between corners 1 & 
2)  and sc  in each st to 3rd corner, ch 10, sc in center st of 4th 
corner,(skipping sts in between corners 3 & 4)   and sc in ea st to 
end.   
Row 9:   ch 3, 1 dc in each st around, including the 10 ch  (armholes).
Row 10:  ch 1 , turn.  sc in ea st around.
Row 11:  ch 3, turn, 1 dc in ea st around.
Row 12: repeat row 10.
Row 13: repeat row 11.
Row 14: repeat row 10.
Row 15.  repeat row 11.
Row 16:  repeat row 10.
Row 17:  repeat row 11.
Row 18:  repeat row 10.
Row 19:  repeat row 11.
Row 20:  repeat row 10.
Row 21:   repeat row 11.
     (this is so all row 10's will be worked in one direction, 
     and all row 11's in the other direction).
Row 22:  ch 1, turn. for trim , working  across bottom,  sc in ea 
st, work up sides and across neck and down other side, putting 
3 sc in center st of each corner.
Row 23:  ch 1, and working in same direction - repeat row 22, 
except on last side,  working from neckline down, at top corner 
of neck, 1 sc in next st, then ch 3 (for button loop) sc back into 
same st as loop, continue sc down side for approx 3-5 more sts, 
then ch 3 (for button loop),sc back into same st as loop, sc in 
remaining sts to beginning of row 23. sl st to join.
 
Sleeves: attach yarn in middle st under arm. 
Row 1:   ch 3, 1 dc in ea st around. sl st to join.
Row 2:  ch 1, turn. 1 sc in each st around. sl st to join.
Row 3: ch 3, turn. 1 dc in ea st around. sl st to join.
Row 4:  repeat row 2.
Row 5:  repeat row 3.
Row 6:  repeat row 2.
Row 7:  repeat row 3.
Row 8:  repeat row 2.
Row 9:  repeat row 3.
Row 10: repeat row 2.
Row 11:  ch 2,   (decrease row)   dec next 2 sts together, 1 dc 
in next 2 sts, * dec next 2 sts together, around. sl st to join.
 
{Decrease:  yo, insert hook into 1st st, yo, pull up loop, yo, 
insert hook into 2nd st, yo, pull up loop, yo & pull thru 3 loops on 
hook, yo and pull thru last 2 loops}
 
Row 12:  ch 1 , turn.  1 sc in next st, * dec next 2 sts, 1 sc in 
next st, repeat from * around- sl st to join.           end off.   
weave in ends.

ch 50, sl st to form a ring, being careful not to twist ring.
Rnd 1:   ch 1, sc in each ch around. sl st to join.
Rnd 2:  ch 3, turn, 1 dc in ea st around.   sl st to join.
Rnd 3:  repeat rnd 1.
Rnd 4:  repeat rnd 2.
Rnd 5:  repeat rnd 1.
Rnd 6:  repeat rnd 2.
Rnd 7:  repeat rnd 1.
Rnd 8:  repeat rnd 2.
Rnd 9:  repeat rnd 1.
Rnd 10:  repeat rnd 2.
Rnd 11:   repeat rnd 1.
Rnd 12:  repeat rnd 2.
